Cookie Policy

Effective date: May 24, 2026 · Last updated: May 24, 2026
Sentio does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. We use browser localStorage — a form of local storage that functions similarly to cookies — exclusively for essential app functionality. No data is shared with advertisers or analytics platforms.

Issuing entity

This Cookie Policy is issued by ZB Capital S.R.L., operator of the Sentio application and the Disapline brand.

What is localStorage?

Browser localStorage is a web storage mechanism that allows apps to store data directly on your device, within your browser. Unlike HTTP cookies, localStorage data is never automatically sent to servers with each request — it is only transmitted when the app explicitly reads and uses it. Sentio uses localStorage, not traditional HTTP cookies, for all local data storage.

What we store and why

The following items are stored in your browser's localStorage when you use Sentio:

Key Purpose Duration
mp_uid Your anonymous randomly generated user ID. Used to associate your votes with your device without any personal identification. Persistent
mp_vote_[date]_[asset] Your daily vote for each asset (sentiment, temperature, market type). Used to prevent double-voting and display your vote on the dashboard. Indefinite
mp_oc_[asset]_[date] Cached market outcome data (open/close price) for past dates. Avoids repeated API calls for already-fetched data. Indefinite
mp_col_[asset]_[date] Cached collective sentiment data for past dates. Avoids repeated database queries for completed days. Indefinite
mp_streak Your current voting streak count, displayed in the app to encourage daily engagement. Persistent
sentio_ck Stores your cookie banner preference (accepted or not) so the banner is not shown again after you respond. Persistent

What we do NOT store

Third-party storage

The following third parties may store their own cookies or data when you access Sentio through their platforms:

Sentio does not control or have access to any data collected by these third parties.

How to clear your local data

You can clear all Sentio localStorage data at any time using your browser's settings, or by clicking the button below. Note that clearing your data will reset your anonymous ID, vote history, and streak count — this action cannot be undone.

All Sentio local data has been cleared.

Alternatively, in most browsers: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data. In Safari: Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data → Remove All Website Data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the app evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
